Birthday Pop Up House Mouse Card

New cutting files

It's snowing again and very cold so I'm staying indoors and playing in my craftroom.  Went shopping at the Silhouette webstore and found some cute designs.   This little scene with the two kids kissing is a lot of fun to work with.  Cut out the pieces with my Silhouette Cameo.  Added lace, pearls, twine and flowers.  Used a old Quickutz paper clip die that I have had for many years.  Trimmed off the edge to make it a little smaller.  Then added a EK punched heart, pearl and hand cut leaves.

Embossed Flowers

Bought a set of embossing folders called With Love by Cuttlebug a long time ago.  It's been sitting in my cabinet collecting dust, so I thought it was time to make a card with it.  I struggle when I use the Cuttlebug border style embossing folders, so I kept the design clean and simple.  Applied Viva D├ęcor Pearl Pen Ice White to the centers of the flowers, then added a big red bow and tag.

Birthday card for my hubby

I'm finished with my Valetine's Day cards so I thought I would work on birthday cards for everyone on my list.  This card is for my hubby.  Our dog is always begging for dog bones and we find them all over the house, so that's why you see the punched dog bone on the chair and on the floor.  He also loves sweet stuff so the saying fits him perfectly.

The darling little dog, chair, saying and milkbone box are stamps from Eat Cake Graphics.  I paper pieced the chair, chair legs and hat.  The dog and milkbone box were colored with Copic markers.  Designer paper is Blink of an eye by My Mind's Eye.  I was trying to use a paper that had a masculine feel to it, but it was really hard to photograph.  Oh well, I know he will smile when he sees this one.
