Owl Shaped Card

Time has really flown by.  It's hard to believe that 4 months have passed since I joined the design team at The Cutting Cafe and this is my last post as a team member. I have had so much fun working with Regina and the ladies on the team. They are all amazingly talented designers and I have learned so much from them.

We were able to pick any file from the store for this weeks project and I picked this adorable little owl shaped card.  I cut out the card base from kraft cardstock and the other pieces from My Minds Eye designer paper package called Blink of an Eye.   Attached all pieces then added a two buttons for the eyes and a bow in the left corner.

Postcard

I've had this for a long time, but never used until today.  Love how this turned out with just the black and white monochromatic look.  Machine stiched the edges, then added lace and a butterfly I cut out with my Silhouette Cameo.  Added some twine and pearls to the center of the butterfly as it looked rather plain without the embellishments.

Challenges:
Emma's Crafty Challenge #15 - Use at least one butterfly on your project
Sandy's Crafty Creations Challenge - Anything goes with stitching
Crafty Creations Challenge #218 - No patterned papers
ABC Challenge - L is for lovely lace

Here's how I made the gift box:
Cut out the gift box and flower pieces using the svg files and my Silhouette Cameo.  Applied acetate to the inside of the window. Then attached lace. I printed the tag and cut out with scissors. Assembled flower with a brad in the center and glued tag under the petals.
